Path2Integrity at the European University Association (EUA) Thematic Workshop

9 FEB 2021

The annual European University Association (EUA) Thematic Workshop was focused on artificial intelligence (AI), data management and the digital world of doctoral education. The event took place on 21-22 January in an entirely online environment. More than 260 participants gathered to discuss the emerging issues related to digitalisation in doctoral education. Within the excellent team of educators was Path2Integrity’s project coordinator - Prof. Julia Priess-Buchheit.

During the session called New challenges for responsible conduct of research training in the digital era, Julia gave an insightful presentation on online possibilities to teach research integrity collaboratively. An overview of graduate’s knowledge towards research practices was presented, with a specific focus on Germany, showing that most students lack an understanding of how to conduct responsible research. Thus, Julia covered the essential aspects of teaching research integrity and how learning RI can be effective in online settings. She emphasised specific characteristics of Master and PhD students, explained the status quo on teaching and learning RI and further, showcased the P2I online learning environment from Path2Integrity.
